Gulliver was shot by Stephan in 2023 after an immense storm rolled through Fiordland National Park, closing the main road into Milford Sound. With no traffic on the road, Stephan was able to set up his camera system in the middle of the bridge for a new perspective on the river.

The Gulliver River begins high in the Darren Mountains in Fiordland National Park and flows southwest to join the Cleddau River before eventually flowing into the world-famous Piopiotahi/Milford Sound. Visitors driving to Milford Sound will cross the Gulliver River after passing through the Homer Tunnel. Fiordland National Park covers one million hectares and features steep mountain peaks, glaciers, alpine lakes and river valleys.
